MODERN RUGBY SUPER STAR

Seru Rabeni, Sitiveni Sivivatu and Ifereimi Rawaqa were all attend RKS. These players are well known all over the world for their skills on the field. They all donned the Pacific Islanders jerseys and played a vital role during the team test rugby with Australia, New Zealand and South Africa in 2004.

During their time at school, Rabeni was the member of RKS Under-19 in 1997. He scored a lone try in the final. Stee was the member of the RKS Under 17 team which drew with the LMS dream team in 1999. They drew 19 all where Stee scored all the three tries for RKS. It was at this match where a rugby scout from New Zealand picked Sivivatu to attend Wesley College in 2000. However Rawaqa played "HOUSE TEAM" at school, representing Cakau House. House Competition is much tougher compare to school competition. This is where Rawaqa learned what GUTS is all about where he carried along with him when he played for Vuda, Lautoka,Pacific Islanders and as well as the Vodafone Fiji.

POST FIJI SECONDARY SCHOOL UNDER 19 CHAMPION- 2002

RKS Under-19 rugby team won the Post Fiji Cup which used to be known as the Deans Trophy after six years drought. It was a memorable victory where some players, students, teachers and supporters just broke down in tears. There were only three survivors from the Under-13 grade which make it to the 22 member squad in the final.They were Mosese Cagilaba,Sekonaia Kafoa and Sesoni Talavutu. These player witnessed the defeat of RKS in 1996.They were there watching as the LODONIAN broke down in tears as the Deans travel down to QVS. Now it's after six long years, then they were the one that bring back the lost glory of DELAINAKAIKAI. PICTURES

RKSOB Rugby Club - A brief history

The first Lodoni Rugby Club to compete in the Suva Rugby Union competition used to travel from RKS every Saturday since 1962. The team comprised mainly of teachers teaching at RKS.

RKS GEARS UP FOR
LODONI DAY

The people of Lodoni, old scholars and students of Ratu Kadavulevu School are gearing up for a special day of festivity and fundraising. In great Lodoni tradition, the organising committee have selected prominent old scholars and levied them $500 each with the hope that their colleagues in higher salaries will help in the completion of the school chapel. Old Scholar and Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase is part of the group that was requested to achieve the target $250,000.
